About the project
Dating back to the 13th century, Savoia Castle in Škvorec has a rich architectural history. Its gradual restoration became part of my work for nearly a decade, offering a unique opportunity to engage with historic architecture and its heritage.
The project evolved step by step, from individual interiors and furnishings to outdoor spaces and the castle gardens. Working with historic materials, antique furniture, and original architectural features required a sensitive approach to the building's past while adapting it to contemporary use.
Rather than a single renovation, it was an ongoing process of transformation, gradually bringing a neglected historic property back to life as a place for living, gathering, and special occasions.
